Is your home properly insulated? If not, you’re missing out on major energy savings — and thanks to new state and federal programs, Arizona homeowners could now upgrade their insulation for a fraction of the cost — or even free.

Up to $1,200 in Arizona Tax Credits

The Energy Efficiency Home Improvement Credit, also known as the 25C tax credit provides homeowners with up to $1,200 in annual tax credits when upgrading to energy-efficient insulation. That means you could receive 30% of your insulation project cost back, including both labor and materials — just for making your home more energy efficient.

This tax credit does expire December 31st. Don’t wait!

Efficiency Arizona: $1,600 Rebate for Low- and Moderate-Income Households

The Efficiency Arizona Rebate Program is funded by the U.S. Department of Energy and managed by the Arizona Governor’s Office of Resiliency. It offers major savings and up to $1,600 in grant money to qualifying Arizona homeowners looking to improve their home’s energy efficiency.

This state-wide initiative offers huge savings on insulation upgrades to income-qualified households.

Income-Based Qualification:

Households making less than $65,000 annually are also likely to qualify.

You may also qualify if anyone in your household is enrolled in any state funded programs

Extra $600 Off for SRP Customers

If you’re an SRP customer, you could qualify for an additional $600 rebate for attic insulation through SRP’s Home Performance program.

SRP offers insulation rebates of up to $600 when you upgrade your attic insulation to meet the recommended R-38 level. Most homes need about 7 additional inches of insulation blown over the existing material to get back up to code. This upgrade can help you save 10–12% on your energy bills.
