How we install it

Upgrade your walls — without removing the drywall

Adding wall insulation used to mean opening up your walls. Not anymore. We drill small 3-inch access holes between your wall studs and blow insulation in to completely fill the empty cavities — minimal construction, minimal mess.

Wall insulation in Arizona: drill-and-fill without tearing out drywall

Many older Valley homes have little or no insulation in the walls. Drill-and-fill adds it without removing drywall. Here is how it works, the two types we offer, and which rooms benefit most.

How does drill-and-fill wall insulation work?

We drill small 3-inch holes between the wall studs, blow insulation into each empty cavity until it is full, then seal the holes.

There is no drywall removal and no major construction. Most rooms are done in a day. Drywall repair and paint over the holes are not included.

Two wall insulation options

Garage wall insulation: fills exterior garage walls and the wall shared with the house to keep heat out of the garage and the rooms beside it.
Interior Rockwool sound-barrier insulation: dense mineral wool installed in interior walls to cut noise between bedrooms, offices, media rooms and bathrooms.

Which walls benefit most?

Exterior walls that take afternoon sun, and interior walls between rooms where noise is a problem.

West-facing walls in Phoenix take direct sun for hours, and without insulation that heat comes straight through the drywall into the room all evening. Corner rooms with two or three exterior walls feel it most.

Does wall insulation help with noise?

Yes. Insulated walls cut sound transfer noticeably, and Rockwool sound-barrier insulation is made for it.

No wall is ever completely soundproof, but homeowners notice the difference right away in shared bedroom walls, home offices and rooms next to busy streets.

Are there rebates on wall insulation?

No. Wall insulation does not qualify for SRP rebates.

We price it honestly and tell you whether wall insulation, attic insulation or both will make the biggest difference in your home.

Signs your walls need insulation

Exterior walls feel warm to the touch on hot afternoons.
One corner room is always hotter than the rest of the house.
You can hear conversations or TV clearly through interior walls.
Your attic is already at R-38 and some rooms still run hot.

Wall Insulation answers

Common questions

Do you have to remove my drywall?

No. We drill small 3-inch access holes between the studs, blow insulation in to fill the empty cavities, then seal the holes. Drywall repair and paint of those holes are the homeowner’s responsibility.

How long does wall insulation take?

Most homes are completed in a single day, with minimal, tidy disruption.

Can you make a room quieter?

Yes — our interior Rockwool sound-barrier insulation absorbs sound and significantly reduces noise between rooms and from outside. No wall is ever 100% soundproof, but the difference is immediate.

Which walls benefit most?

Exterior walls that bake in the afternoon sun help most with comfort and bills; interior and shared walls — bedrooms, offices, nurseries and media rooms — benefit most from sound insulation.
